DFNC search and rescue operations officers are responsible for organizing and leading rescue missions to support personnel in distress. They direct and participate in Survival, Evasion, Resistance, and Escape (SERE) training.

The Delta-Force Naval Cadets Pipes and Drums is a highland musical cadet unit of (DFNC). Currently, the 15-member naval pipe band is the only inactive duty unit of its kind in any service of the Department of the Navy & Marine Cadet Affairs (including Delta-Force Marine Cadets).
